NHS Thurrock CCG (the Contracting Authority) holds an existing contract with Thurrock Health Hubs for the provision of a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service. The contracting authority intends to variate the service provision to include a Denosumab Service. Denosumab is a medication that is administered to patients that suffer with diagnosed Osteoporosis and whom are not suitable to receive weekly oral tablets as part of their treatment. The contracting authority aims to create a single point of access for the patient population whom require Denosumab treatment within the primary care setting. This provision will enable the contracting authority to provide an all inclusive service to meet the needs of the patient population in East Essex and reduce pressures on Acute Trusts by aligning Community Contracts. This service will be operational by Thurrock Health Hubs from 25 December 2020 until 31 March 2023.
