Overview:
As part of the Transport for Wales’ (TfW) Core Valley Lines (CVL) Project, Balfour Beatty Rail have been asked to submit a quotation for the project’s Test and Commissioning requirements.
Balfour Beatty Rail is seeking to engage the market for proposals which shall include the Factory Acceptance testing (FAT) in Glasgow and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) in Wales at 7 Traction Power compounds.
1. Taff’s Well MPTSS:
Integrated FAT testing at Huntly Road Glasgow premises of the following equipment
>Taffs Well MPTSS - SCADA Equipment x1 N/A

a)The assumption to be that all Test plans and procedures to be produced by BBR at this stage.
b)All costs should be inclusive of Travel, Training, Parking, PPE etc, BBR will provide site
safety and welfare, BBR will produce all the relevant T&C documentation which each
contractor would be expected to complete in order to achieve the tests listed in the
attached document.
c)Final hand back documentation must be completed and returned in an acceptable manner
within four weeks (20 working days) of each commissioning stage.

Tender Documents:
Suppliers requested to express an interest and shall be subject to meeting Balfour Beatty Rail’s pre-qualification criteria for this package of works.
Appropriate RISQS, Constructionline and Insurances will be required.
Documents shall be issued to those who qualify via Balfour Beatty’s Jaggaer portal. Access shall be supplied to those who qualify.
Responses, including any tender queries, shall be via the Jaggaer portal only.
Response shall be based on best value (commercial and technical) which shall include:
> CVL Test and Commissioning – Scope of Work Schedule.
