Brymbo Heritage Trust will soon be embarking on delivering a major community-led heritage project with a value in excess of £7m covering the former Iron and Steelworks and Fossil Forest at Brymbo near Wrexham. Details of the trust and the project - to be known as 'Stori Brymbo' - are on the trust's website www.brymboheritage.co.uk The project involves multiple funders and covers both capital works (in the first 3 years ahead of opening to the public) and revenue activities over a five year period. The largest funders are the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and the National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF), between them contributing more than £5m. The Trust has benefitted from the services of a Project Advisor since 2013 and is seeking to re-commission this work for the five year period ahead.
