To procure a replacement Integrated Communication Control System and mobilising solution for the Combined Fire Control, which will be 5 years from commencement of operational services date (Go live) plus and implementation period of no more than 18 months. Once the initial 5 year operational term comes to an end there will be an option to extend for up to 2 periods of up to 24 months each. Please note the Authority provides a control room function for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service under an Agreement pursuant to Section 16 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
The Authority will select a single contractor to enter into the ICCS and Mobilising Contract with Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service (the Authority). Following the evaluation of SQ responses the Authority will shortlist the 6 highest scoring candidates (assuming there are sufficient suitable candidates) to be invited to submit initial tenders. The Authority is not prescribing any specific technologies and/or hosting arrangements and all technical solutions being put forward, with cloud based or hosted by the Authority will be considered. The procurement is being conducted under CPN (Regulation 29 of the Public Contracts Regulations) and in accordance with Regulation 29 (15) the Authority reserves the right and has a strong desire to award the contract on the basis of initial tender without negotiation. The Authority reserves the right to amend or cancel this procurement and will not be responsible for any bidder costs in doing so.
