Brynmenyn House is project owned by the Council and provides 16 units of accommodation to households who are homeless and temporarily accommodated by the Council’s Housing Solutions team.

Brynmenyn House is project owned by the Council and provides 16 units of accommodation to households who are homeless and temporarily accommodated by the Council’s Housing Solutions team.
A commissioned support Provider staffs the project on a twenty-four hour basis, seven days per week, with waking night staff. Currently the project is exclusively utilised for single persons or couples. The support service is required to assist accommodated households with any housing related issues. The support provided is ‘needs-led’ and aimed to improve the capacity of the Service Users to move on to living independently within the community.
Provision will assist the Council in fulfilling its duties under The Housing (Wales) Act 2014, Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
The contract period is for 3 years, commencing on 1st September 2024 with the option to extend for up to 24 months.
The service will assist with the vision of the Housing Support Grant that promotes “A Wales where nobody is homeless and everyone has a safe home where they can flourish and live a fulfilled, active and independent life”.
