Crynodeb

Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) have awarded a contract for the provision of a discharge management decision intelligence platform to be utilised across the Health Board. This contract utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to combine human expertise with machine learning in a software representation of an end-to-end system to extract value from the data provided. This is to drive operational decision-making in relation to patient discharge by allowing the Health Board to understand what happens when they pause, fast forward and rewind the system to better understand their choices and the impact of those choices in real time. The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Big Data & Analytics framework agreement (RM6195) under Lot 2 Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Software is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation and provides a provides a compliant route to to market for the procurement of AI and machine learning to create intelligent data and analytics functions. The Framework can ensure delivery of effective consumer-oriented technologies that meet the Health Board’s requirements across a range of specialist IT areas including work packages, data service transformations or off the shelf software services.
