Public access PCs are over ten years old and moving out of vendor support, so security patches can no longer be reliably deployed. Replacement removes a live information security risk and maintaining public access PCs supports the Council's delivery of a
comprehensive and efficient library service under the Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964 and helps sustain the library service's universal digital access offer.
