Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
As part of this contract the Supplier will be expected to engage with us to deliver proportionate and reasonable community benefits, contribute 0.5% of the contract value towards the WWH Making a Difference Community Benefit Fund, and complete the Welsh Government Community Benefit Measurement Tool.
Once the contract has been awarded, WWH will discuss and agree, with the Supplier, initiatives that appropriately match the contract value and take into account the size, skills and resources of the Supplier. The initiatives fall under the following headings:
• Employment initiatives - this could include but is not limited to sourcing local labour, supporting work experience placements and/or traineeships/internships, creating apprenticeship opportunities
• Educational initiatives – this could include but is not limited to providing career talks, supporting educational work experience opportunities, site visits, sponsor educational organisations/projects, providing accredited and non-accredited training opportunities
• Community project – this could include but is not limited to delivering community engagement activities that help to regenerate areas by providing social /physical (including infrastructure) community projects and environmental improvements, sponsoring local community and charitable groups
The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
