Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland (HSCNI) has identified scope for improvement to the current arrangements for ordering and supply of adult and paediatric enteral feeds and the equipment required for their administration. This prior information notice seeks engagement with economic operators in order to gain a better understanding of the market and options available to service HSCNI’s requirements for Home Delivery of Adult and Paediatric Enteral Feeds and Associated Equipment/Consumables (Nb. current figures indicate that approx. 650 adult and 550 paediatric patients in total require service provision, although suppliers should note that there is a growing trend in terms of patient numbers). This engagement will help inform HSCNI of the key service considerations and market capacity in this area, which will assist with the development and execution of a new tendering exercise to establish a compliant contractual route to facilitate this service change/redesign (Nb. target implementation/go-live date for proposed redesigned service is early Q2 2025). To this end, Business Services Organisation (BSO) Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), in conjunction with key stakeholders across HSCNI, intends to meet with interested economic operators at a supplier engagement/briefing event to be hosted on Monday 12th February 2024 in BSOPaLS, 77 Boucher Crescent, Belfast, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, BT12 6HU. Economic operators interested in participating in such a supplier engagement/briefing event should express their interest by no later than COB on Wednesday 17th January 2024. Expressions of interest are to be emailed to pdrandops.sourcing@hscni.net with the words "Enteral Feeds Home Delivery Supplier Engagement/Briefing" appearing in the subject line of the email. Further information and confirmed details relating to the supplier engagement/briefing event will be provided in due course to those economic operators who express an interest in participating by the deadline. Economic operators should note that any interest indicated does not constitute a commitment to participate in any future tendering exercise.
