This lot relates to the award of a contract for Family Mosaic properties in London North East (including Haringey, Waltham Forest, Newham and Tower Hamlets), Lewisham (including Bromley), Hackney, Charlton Triangle (Greenwich) and Essex region.
Charlton Triangle are a subsidiary of Family Mosaic and for whom Family Mosaic carry out responsive roofing and guttering repairs, renewal and scaffolding works. Orders for responsive roofing and guttering repairs, renewal and works may be placed for Charlton Triangle properties but Charlton Triangle will not be a party to the contract.
The scope of the contract comprises of:
a) Responsive repairs
The works will comprise, but is not limited to:-
— Full or partial renewal of roofs.
— Full or partial renewal of guttering.
— Guttering clearance and testing.
— Roofing and Guttering repairs.
— Use of Skyvac or equivalent.
— Drone surveys.
— Responsive repair works to slate, concrete tiles, flat roof, felt, single skin, natural slates and asphalt roofing together with rain water installations.
— Emergency outside of normal working hours service for making safe.
— Future opportunity for communal guttering clearance programme.
— Internal remedial and making good works caused by roofing and guttering related problems
b) Scaffolding:
The works will comprise but is not limited to:-
— Provision of scaffold drawings.
— Provision of scaffolding (erection and striking).
— Provision of towers, access platforms and abseiling.
As part of the delivery of the above, the successful contractor will be required to establish a direct interface link with Family Mosaic's IT system (provided by Northgate) to facilitate real time operational updates for Family Mosaic and will be required to provide all operatives with handheld devices to ensure real time data sharing. The contractor will also be required to provide a Freephone telephone number to enable appointments to be arranged by Family Mosaic or its customers.
Family Mosaic's procurement strategy is to have contractors that specialise in specific trades, roofing and guttering repairs and renewal being one such trade. The reason for this is to ensure it delivers a great quality service for its customers through the provision of innovative solutions from those that know the trade best. Whilst there will be some aspects of multi trade that are completed through our minor works contract for large projects (for which a separate procurement process is being undertaken by Family Mosaic — see OJEU reference number: 2016/S 028-044569) specialist trade roofing, guttering and scaffolding works will predominantly be completed by specialist contractors and within the scope of this procurement.
The contract will have a duration of 3 + 1 years. Tenderers will be required to submit a tender to perform the full scope of works which may be requested by Family Mosaic under this Lot. Further details are set out in the procurement documents.
