Glasgow West Housing Association Ltd intends to develop 2 sites for new build affordable housing in the West End of Glasgow by means of a design and build contract. Both sites were previously occupied by and are surrounded by, pre 1919 tenemental flats. Planning consent is being obtained for the construction of 52 flats and one commercial unit on the Dover Street site and 15 flats on the Corunna Street site. The contract will encompass the design and construction of the flats and commercial unit together with all associated infrastructure, landscaping and site works. The minimum standards required for participation in the tendering for this contract area set out in the pre-qualification questionnaire. The timing and phasing of the delivery of the completed buildings on the two sites is currently under consideration.
