Esboniad
The connection to the Aberdeen Heat and Power Ltd District Heating Network could only be awarded to the operator appointed by Aberdeen Heat and Power Ltd. There was no option to open the works, connection, maintenance and supply of hot water and heating to competition or appoint an alternative supplier. District Energy Aberdeen Ltd are a subsidiary of Aberdeen Heat and Power Ltd. They are appointed to implement the district heating system for commercial premises such as the College. Aberdeen Heat and Power Company wholly own and operate the District Heating Network as a not-for-profit company set up by Aberdeen City Council to develop, maintain and operate the district heating system for the city.
