A high prevalence of young people the YJS work with experience poor mental health and difficulties with their emotional wellbeing, often as a result of adverse childhood experiences (ACE’s) and trauma they have been exposed to at a young age. It therefore follows that YJS have adopted a ‘child first’ and ‘trauma informed’ approach to its service delivery, with the role of Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service – East Lancashire (CYPMHS-East) within the team considered essential to the success and effectiveness of working with children and young people with related needs.

contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations
2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not
apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period.
This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to
award under the PSR.
