A new build sports centre at the Nantgarw campus comprising of a 4 court sports facility using cost effective tensile sports facilities constructed from a steel superstructure and covered with a heavy duty architectural membrane to provide a bright flexible use environment. potentially depending on the final location of the sports centre a requirement for harmonisation works to existing car park facilities to the existing campus. Also this project will involve a two storey extension of an existing workshop building (C Block Ystrad Campus) providing brickwork and plumbing facilities, workshop, teaching and learning areas, external storage areas along with upgrading and reconfiguration of internal workshops, teaching and learning areas within C and F Blocks (electrical, gas assessment centre) Ystrad campus.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. It is Welsh Government Policy for publicly funded organisations to seek community benefits from the contracts that it places.

The College is seeking that the successful tenderer would provide two weeks of work placement/shadowing opportunity. This would be provided annually for each year of the contract.

The College would be interested in additional or alternative opportunities that the tenderer feels may be appropriate.
