The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Drug and Alcohol Service in Islington is designed
to help individuals aged 18 and over who have current or past drug or alcohol issues and are
unemployed. The service aims to support these individuals in returning to employment
through intensive, personalised support, rapid job searches, placement in paid employment,
and ongoing support for both employees and employers. The IPS service model integrates
employment and vocational services with drug and alcohol support, focusing on the needs of
individuals seeking education or employment. It includes time-limited on-the-job training and
post-placement support to help participants adjust to job demands and assist employers.
