Disgrifiad byr o'r contract neu'r pryniant/pryniannau
Glasgow West Housing Association Ltd intends to develop 2 sites for new build affordable housing in the West End of Glasgow by means of a Design and Build contract. Both sites were previously occupied by, and are surrounded by, pre 1919 tenemental flats. Planning consent is being obtained for the construction of 52 flats and one commercial unit on the Dover Street site and 15 flats on the Corunna Street site. The contract will encompass the design and construction of the flats and commercial unit together with all associated infrastructure, landscaping and site works. The minimum standards required for participation in the tendering for this contract area set out in the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. The timing and phasing of the delivery of the completed buildings on the two sites is currently under consideration.

There is no guarantee that the proposed developments will progress beyond tender evaluation stage as the delivery of the development is is dependent upon the acquisition the sites, the availability of funds and the viability of the project.
If the project proceeds the Design Team appointed by Glasgow West Housing Association to progress the project to tender stage, comprising Architect, Principal Designer, Structural Engineer & M&E Consultant, will be novated to the successful contractor. Novation Agreements will require to be signed by all parties, which will detail the Schedule of Services required for the successful delivery of the development.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority's economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
Glasgow West Housing Association is committed to maximising Community Benefits from its procurement activities. The successful contractor will be required to support the Association's objectives which may involve the contractor participating in employability, skills development and training initiatives.
