Conwy County Borough Council [CCBC] require a Building Services Design Consultant to undertake design duties which support refurbishment of the structure.
These duties will include but are not limited to;
[1] Visit the site and undertake inspections and surveys of the current condition.
[2] Undertake desktop studies to establish the local electrical infrastructure assets and assess how a new power supply can be connected into the project.
[3] Undertake a design of the new soffit lighting layout, specify appropriate fittings and calculate the load this installation requires.
[4] Inspect the roof level lighting columns, provide a new lighting strategy which retains and refurbishes the existing columns and may include specifying a replacement lamp and calculate the load this installation requires.
[5] Design and specify a vandal resistant consumer unit.
[6] Specification, sizing, routing and design of building services where new work required.
[7] Liaison with utility providers to verify spare capacity within the local utility network and the most efficient location of the incoming electrical supply meter.
[8] Production of design information such as building plans, specifications, schedules, scope of works and other documents for tender.
[9] Attend design team meetings to develop a co-ordinated design.
CCBC will perform Principal Designer Duties under the CDM Regulations 2015.
CCBC will liaise with the successful tenderer and be responsible for producing all documents associated with procuring an Electrical Contractor.
CCBC will gather information from the Building Services Design Consultant and submit to Conservation Officers in support of Listed Building Consent.
CCBC will undertake the tendering process by advertising the works through the Sell2Wales Portal for open single stage Tendering.
