Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking to engage with the market in advance of a potential procurement for Violence and Aggression (V&A) training provision, following a review which identified quality, safety, and governance risks within the current model, including gaps in external accreditation and alignment with national standards such as RRN Training Standards and NICE NG10 guidance.
The Health Board is considering a revised hybrid model and is seeking an RRN-compliant, BILD ACT certified provider to deliver Module D (restrictive practice training) and support internal capability development. This is expected to include a foundation programme for approximately 882 staff, annual refresher training, and a train-the-trainer programme to support delivery of Modules B and C. Suppliers are invited to provide indicative information on delivery models, governance, and cost profiles.
The contract value and duration have not yet been determined, and this engagement is intended to inform the specification and route to market.
A pre-market engagement event will be held on Thursday 25 June 2026. Suppliers interested in attending are requested to register their interest, and further details regarding the time and format will be provided in due course. Participation will not offer any advantage in any subsequent procurement process.
