Crynodeb

Bron Afon Community Housing (Bron Afon) is looking to appoint one or two suitably qualified principal contractors (PC’s) to carry out cavity wall and loft insulation and/or rendering works. The tender comprises of two lots. Principle contractors may tender for one or both lots. Please ensure you stipulate which lot number(s) you are tendering for in your tender submission in appendix 1B. Lot 1: Cavity & Loft Insulation e.g. surveys, written reports, safeguards to building fabric, extraction, cavity clearance, refill, removal of old loft insulation, installation of loft insulation, making good etc. Full and partial properties. Any enabling works such as gas works, electrical works, liaison with utilities services e.g. Nation Grid, relocation of satellite and aerials, scaffolding etc. are expected to be arranged by the PC (subcontracting by one level is permitted). Lot 2: Rendering works e.g. hack off existing render, re-render etc. Full and partial properties. Full and partial properties. Any enabling works such as gas works, electrical works, liaison with utilities services e.g. Nation Grid, relocation of satellite and aerials, scaffolding etc. are expected to be arranged by the PC (subcontracting by one level is permitted).

enabling works such as gas works, electrical works, liaison with utilities services e.g. Nation Grid,

relocation of satellite and aerials, scaffolding etc. are expected to be arranged by the PC

(subcontracting by one level is permitted).

The tender should be priced in accordance with all tender documents.

2.4 Cyfanswm maint neu gwmpas y tendr

The contract(s) will be based on a Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) Measured Term Contract (MTC). The initial contract period will be for 3 years with the option to extend it on a 1 year plus 1 year basis giving a possible maximum contract length of 5 years.

The period for each year is:

• Year 1 – 1 April 2023 – 31st March 2024

• Year 2 – 1 April 2024 – 31st March 2025

• Year 3 – 1 April 2025 – 31st March 2026

• Year 4 – 1 April 2026 – 31st March 2027*

• Year 5 – 1 April 2027 – 31st March 2028*

*The contract will only continue to operate in these years providing both parties agree. Discussions will be held about the continuation of the contract in approximately December/January and each year a new agreement will be made. For the avoidance of doubt if an agreement is made for year 4 to continue working together this does not automatically mean it will apply to year 5.
