The University has a requirement for provision of blended learning support software in Engineering Mathematics for 220 Foundation Year and 770 Year 1 students.
The contract period will be 3-years commencing on the 1st September 2024, with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The budget for this requirement is £35,000 ex VAT per annum
• The software will include on-line material in the form of e-text book(s), worked examples, animations and videos.
• The software should include an extensive bank of questions that can be used for formative or summative assessments. This should include automatic marking and feedback to students and have the potential for staff to add further questions.
• The software must be compatible for use with the Canvas VLE. This will allow the students to be directed to the supplier site through canvas. Compatibility with other VLE’s would be advantageous.
• The software must include student user guides.
• The software is to include one days training for staff with ongoing support, the ongoing support is likely to be half a day a month. This will allow for implementation for the 2024/25 academic year.
• The software is to be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year with access availability 98% of the time.
