This is a Contract Award Notice for the Tender described below and conducted in accordance with Bridgend County Borough Council’s Contract Procedure Rules.
"This is a Further Competition permitted under the ESPO 115-25 Framework Agreement for the Provision of Outdoor Playground, Fitness & Sports Facilities and Equipment (Design, Supply, Delivery, Installation, Maintenance and Inspection) Lot 2 Refers.
An Expressions of Interest Stage was carried out from 27th November 2025 to 10th December 2025 to encourage interest and answer any questions potential bidders had.
Constructionline Requirement: To be awarded a contract, the successful Bidder must be Registered and Verified to a minimum of Bronze membership and SSIP Accredited.
The purpose of the Tender is to obtain fixed prices for the supply and installation of items of play equipment, safer surfacing and ancillary works in existing Nine (9) playgrounds at:
• Cavendish Court Pen Y Fai.
• Wordsworth Avenue Cefn Glas.
• Croft Goch Kenfig Hill.
• Fford Yr Eglwys North Cornelly.
• Heol Llan North Cornelly.
• Penrhyn Kenfig Hill.
• Waunbant Kenfig Hill.
• Y Waun Kenfig Hill.
• Ynysawdre Pool Ynysawdre.
The tender is Price Capped at £690,000 Any Bidder that submits a Bid Price that exceeds the Price Cap will be disqualified.
The Tender is to deliver the replacement and or refurbishment of fixed equipment in play areas owned or managed by the Council within the County Borough Council boundary. The replacement equipment is to be galvanised / powder coated metal in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Timber equipment will not be used. Where specific equipment is to be replaced that is manufactured from resin coated plywood or synthetic, highly vandal resistant material with UV protection, this will be permitted. Safer surfacing shall be Wet-Pour Impact Absorbing Surfacing unless specified differently in the Service Specification. See Tender documents.
