NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) – Health Courier Services require the provision of temperature-controlled transport boxes through a lease or rental arrangement to support the safe movement of pathology and pharmacology consignments.
The boxes must maintain either cold chain temperatures (0°C–8°C) or ambient temperatures (18°C–22°C) to ensure the integrity of clinical materials during transportation.
This contract lot will provide both long-term leasing arrangements and short-term rental options (less than 12 months) for temperature-controlled transport box environments, aligned with the current Health Courier Services operating model.
The required units must:
Support switchable temperature environments (cold chain and ambient).
Maintain stable internal conditions throughout transit.
Provide reportable temperature monitoring data to demonstrate compliance and traceability.
The procurement of these units aims to ensure that:
Operations remain compliant with relevant ISO and EN standards.
The equipment supports portability and interoperability across courier operations.
The service delivers best value for money, balancing operational performance with cost efficiency.
