Crynodeb

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) is committed to the procurement and implementation of IDVA services in order to enable the Council to carry out its statutory duties.

The provision of services is one of 4 key strategic priorities set out in the Oxfordshire Safe Accommodation Strategy as well as the Overarching Domestic Abuse Strategy published in 2022. This service specifies provision of services meeting the required standards set out in the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 to include the needs of minority groups and individuals with care and support needs to improve their health outcomes and address inequalities.

The Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVA) will provide targeted interventions for high-risk victim-survivors and their children through community-based outreach support across Oxfordshire and liaison with partner agencies.
