The Trustees of Llandudno Junction Memorial Hall wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced roofing contractor to undertake a complete roof replacement to the Memorial Hall building.
The hall is a historic community facility serving Llandudno Junction and supporting a wide range of community activities. The existing roof has reached the end of its serviceable life and is allowing water ingress, resulting in damage to ceilings and internal surfaces.
The contract includes:
Site establishment and management.
Scaffolding.
Removal and disposal of existing roof coverings.
Removal of existing battens and defective materials.
Installation of breathable membrane.
Installation of treated roofing battens.
Installation of eaves trays.
Supply and installation of replacement slates.
Replacement of lead valleys.
Replacement of flashings and abutment leadwork.
Installation of ridge system.
Waste removal and site clearance.
Making good and ensuring weather-tight completion.

Scope of Works
The contractor shall:
Preliminaries
Undertake site survey.
Provide all labour, materials, plant and supervision.
Provide welfare facilities.
Maintain public safety throughout the works.
Protect hall users and neighbouring properties.
Roofing Works
Remove:
Existing slates.
Existing battens.
Existing ridge materials.
Existing leadwork where required.
Install:
Roofing membrane.
Treated timber battens.
Eaves protection trays.
Natural or equivalent quality replacement slates.
New lead valleys.
New lead flashings and soakers.
Dry ridge system or equivalent approved system.
Dispose of all waste legally and responsibly.
