Crynodeb
NCC operates a landfill at its Docks Way site, and under the Landfill Directive, NCC has an ongoing duty to manage any landfill gas produced and to generate electricity where practicable. This obligation is realised via a 25-year lease agreement. The agreement covers the operation and maintenance of the gas extraction system, generation of electricity from the captured gas, including operation of gas engines and other related infrastructure and export to the grid, and monitoring and reporting of gas extractions activities.
