The aim of the commission is to prepare and work up the delivery action plans for the proposed implementation of the integrated schemes for phase two of the Heritage Lottery Fund (Wales) Living Levels Heritage Lottery bid. Whilst the individual Local Authority areas and stakeholders have their own strategies and plans, there is a need to create an overarching Destination Management Plan for the Living Levels area. This will be to integrate the ‘sense of place’ and telling the story of the area, with the interpretation, signage and visitor access plan, as well as the destination marketing strategy. The estimated timeframe for the HLF delivery phase is from mid-2017 to December 2020. There is considerable background information and previous work that has been done is expected to support this commission.
