Crynodeb

The scope of this ITT is to provide Concept development, design and fabrication of the L&R (Launch and Recovery) System for the DG500 kite. L&R System should be supplied with documentation, approvals and certifications as needed. The basic need is for a vessel to pick up and transport the DG500 kite from the assembly hall at Holyhead Harbour to Holyhead deep site, vessel needs to recover a Subsea Tether held by a Tether buoy, secure Buoy to vessel, disconnect Tether and connect to Kite top joint connection to the top joint on the tether, then after system check launch kite into sea. Kite will be control via a MGS (Micro Grid System housed on a Vessel moored to buoy or Buoy/Platform system) which will be attached to the kite via an umbilical leading from seabed foundation and Kite Tether assembly. Recovery process will be reverse, L&R support vessel proceeds to Kite on surface, recovers kite disconnects strut at Top Joint, connects Tether buoy, put buoy into sea and returns to harbour with Kite.
