The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish a contract for Support Workers to provide therapeutic activities for cognitively impaired inpatients on Hospital Wards for an initial twelve month period. Bidders are invited to submit their proposal to undertake the following aims; - enable a more suitable care environment for individuals who may be experiencing a long hospital wait for a care home placement. - assist with structured therapeutic activity, increasing the potential for individuals who have a cognitive impairment to continue to strive to achieve their potential and maintain their life skills. - assist with care and therapeutic activity for clients on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that personal care is provided with dignity and respect. - encourage active engagement of family / informal carers in the daily routines, such meal time support, personal hygiene, social activities. - enable Patients to access social care: including supporting and maintaining the social contacts of the patients, such as participating in social activities maintaining existing relationships with family and friends. - provide information and advice to Patient / family/ carers on other available support networks For further detail please visit the Bravo Solution portal (link provided in advert) and click on the ITT reference - itt_75079

1. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

2. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Contracting Authority will not negotiate the terms.

3. The Contracting Authority will not accept completed ITT's after the stated closing date.

4. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling.

5. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders.
