Tai Tarian is seeking to engage Two Scaffolding Contractors with a proven track record of delivering best practice on comparable contracts and able to work pro-actively with Tai Tarian to assist in delivering its social and environmental agenda within the communities in which it operates.

It is anticipated that Tai Tarian will award approximately £400,000 per annum in works over the contract period.

Works on/in the properties will be carried out under Tai Tarian Standard Services Agreement.

Tai Tarian is seeking to appoint a maximum of Two (2) contractors to a 4 year Framework Agreement. It is anticipated that work will be allocated to contractors through individual works orders and the work content will be awarded on individual properties, with a maximum of 12 works orders allocated to any one contractor at any time. Works Orders will be issued on a geographical area,

Tenderers must score equal to, or higher than, the set threshold of 50% of the weighted marks available for the Tender Selection Stage. Only those Tenderers who score equal to or higher than 50% of the overall weighted marks available will proceed to the Tender Award Stage. Tai Tarian will reject all Tenderers that score lower than 50% and the Award Criteria of their submission (Tender Award Stage) will not be assessed.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Tai Tarian is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently Community Benefits clauses will be considered as part of the proposed procurement as Core to address socio-economic and/or environmental issues.

The ‘Core’ approach means that Community Benefits are being ‘bought’ as part of the subject matter of the contract i.e. will be evaluated as part of the tender process.

This means, as part of their tender response, potential contractors will be asked how they will deliver ‘community benefits’ through the contract.

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
