The contractor must ensure they can achieve the criteria below and have sufficient knowledge and expertise to be eligible for this contract.
• Provide a detailed programme showing how you would deliver this contract within the specified contract period
• As a contractor you must be able to submit method statements and risk assessments at least two weeks prior to starting the contract
• A contractor must be able to evidence membership of the following organisations, BAFE, FIA, NICEIC, Construction line, ECA, CHAS or similar.
• The contractor must be able to resource the contract (chosen lot) within the specified contract period, in the event of the programme falling behind schedule, Bron Afon reserves the right to remove part or whole of the contract from the appointed contractor to another contractor. Bron Afon will seek to recover any costs due from a failure to deliver the contract within the specified time.
• The contractor must provide detailed designs showing all preferred cable routes and final positioning of detection and warning devices at least three weeks before work starts on site.
• A contractor must be aware many of our properties contain non licensable ACM’s (asbestos containing materials) e.g. artex, the contractor must have suitable training operative’s to work with such hazardous materials.
• Bron Afon have chosen to use one manufacture for the control panel and another manufacture for the detection equipment, the contractor must satisfy themselves they can obtain sufficient stock to undertake the contract and there operatives are suitable trained to install and commission our preference. Bron Afon will not accept any other alterative manufacture in the tender submission.
• All tenders must familiarize themselves with Appendix 2 Performance Specification and be aware of there duties in delivering this contract, as a successful contractor you will be expected to represent Bron Afon and conduct yourselves in a manner as set out in our code of conduct.
